You will only hurt you and instead of recovering, you will only drive yourself insane. So the first step is to take a deep breath and accept the truth. You might try to get him/her back thinking that there may be any chance he/she will come back. Let it go and move on. Say in your mind that “It’s Over” and you are strong enough to get over it.

When I was getting over my relationship my friends have helped me a lot. We planned for an adventure to the hill station for 5 days. When we came back I didn’t realize even that I was going through such a huge depression. 4. Learn something new

Try to learn something new. Join any music class or dance class. You can also learn any instrument which you might have thought about some month or years ago.

I had not immediately but joined the classes of guitar. It was not when I just broke with my relationship and it was not to get over but only to please myself. So if you cannot hang out with your friends then you should try to learn something new.

5. Exercise or Work out

Exercising is not only good for your body but for your mind also. It makes you more focused and energized. Having focus and energy will help motivate you to learn something new or do something.

The absence of pleasure making endorphins after a break up can make you feel more bad. Exercise increases your endorphins. If you are already over-weighted then it is a plus point for you and exercising will help you to get in shape and you can soon date someone more handsome/hotter.

6. Remember things you are grateful for

Do you know that it’s impossible to feel depressed and grateful at the same time? Gratitude transforms pain into love and bring peace to your emotional chaos. Write down all the things you’re grateful for.

This strategy works as a miracle in lowering our depression.
