How To Train Your Brain To Be Optimistic Amidst Gloom & Doom

Be optimistic

What if we stood firm and refused to accept the impending doom of any future? What would that do? This is a different definition of good old optimism. This mindset is essential for any goal or vision for the future. Before we can reach for our goals, we must believe that a brighter tomorrow is possible.

Have you ever hit the ground running after being pessimistic about your chances of success all along? To achieve success, you must believe it will. It’s that simple.

We have experienced moments of stubborn optimism, such as being the first person in our family to attend college, starting a business, raising children, and falling in love.

To achieve our goals, we have used grit and determination to overcome despair and put aside naysayers. What if we used the same approach to tackle the major problems facing the world?

What if we were able to see the problems of climate change, poverty and access to clean water with stubborn optimism rather than future Fatalism?

The best place to get wisdom is from the thought leaders around you, as is always the case. Christiana Figueres, a Costa Rican diplomat who is the central architect of The Paris Agreement and a staunch optimist, is the best expert when it comes to optimism.

This philosophy was passed to her by her father when she was a child. Her message is one that more people would embrace and change the world.

Be Optimistic. Change Is Possible

Believe that it is possible to make a difference in the world. We must believe that change can happen first if we want to create a better future for our children and grandchildren.

It’s not difficult to see that we all are active participants in our collective destiny. Imagine if, instead of just a handful of people working tirelessly every day, asking for positive change, everyone contributed to making this a reality. Imagine if everyone believed that a better future was possible.

We all have the ability to be more determined about creating a better world.

Denial is all that’s required to make things work. With the resources that we have, we can all find causes to support. We can all work together to make a difference.
